The Cocoon Foundation is a heartfelt initiative by The Cocoon Collection, dedicated to enhancing the lives of local communities in the Maldives, particularly within Lhaviyani and Raa Atolls, where Cocoon Maldives and You & Me Maldives are located.
Guided by three core pillars—economic, educational, and environmental sustainability—the foundation aims to create meaningful and lasting impacts. Training sessions, school visits, and empowerment programs have been conducted to nurture confidence, leadership, and career opportunities for aspiring young talents in hospitality. Initiatives promoting environmental awareness and community welfare reflect the foundation's commitment to a sustainable future.

Diffushi Students & Council Trip at Joy Island Maldives 2025
As part of the Cocoon Foundation’s dedication to community outreach and youth development, Joy Island proudly welcomed students and council representatives from the island of Diffushi in 2025 for a special educational and cultural visit.

Celebrated world environment day, Tree planting and island cleaning at Olhuvelifushi
In celebration of World Environment Day, The Cocoon Foundation organized a meaningful tree planting and island cleaning initiative at Olhuvelifushi. This event brought together resort staff, local community members, and environmental enthusiasts to contribute to the preservation of the island's natural beauty. Participants planted trees to enhance the local ecosystem and worked together to clean the island, ensuring a healthier environment for future generations. CHSE _ Students Visit to Joy Island Maldives 2025
As part of the Cocoon Foundation’s ongoing commitment to education, empowerment, and community engagement, Joy Island was honoured to host a group of enthusiastic students from the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in 2025. This special visit was designed to inspire young minds through immersive exposure to the world of hospitality, sustainability, and island life. Students had the unique opportunity to tour various departments across the resort, engage with team members, and learn firsthand about resort operations, marine conservation efforts, and the importance of sustainable tourism in the Maldives.
R. Ungoofaaru _ School Students Visit to You & Me Maldives
This initiative invites students from the R. Ungoofaaru school to visit You & Me Maldives, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the hospitality industry firsthand.
